Chubby Low, a pouf reminiscent of a large, smoothed stone with a functional versatility depending on the momentary wishes of the person who chooses this article.
The armchair, similar in form to Wanders’ Crochet chair, is made from polyethylene and is available in green, black, white, red or orange.

news just in philippe starck has released a new range of furniture. 'the robinwood deluxe collection' includes
chairs, beds, stools and recliners. the collection is primarily made from wood and pieces can be used both
indoors and outdoors. the style uses a twist on traditional wooden furniture.

“Mademoiselle à la mode”

Mademoiselle à la Mode! is a traveling exhibit featuring a series of special editions of Kartell’s Mademoiselle armchair created and styled by an A-list of international fashion designers. After a first series of fashion leading firms (Valentino, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Etro, Missoni, Moschino, Trussardi and Zegna), and a second round with the Parisian couturiers(Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Lacroix, Loulou de la Falaise, Chantal Thomass, Barbara Bui and Jean Charles de Castelbajac, read more below ), so now is the time of .LAK.
Conceived as a chair with a feminine identity by Philippe Starck, Mademoiselle has been created with unique fabrics or “pieces of wardrobe” suitable for different settings. The fashion house re-imaginations in the Mademoiselle à la Mode! Exhibit range from the elegant and romantic to the witty and eclectic. Each chair offers a glimpse into the inspirations, styles and expertise of many of the world’s top couturiers, while simultaneously translating their work to the world of design and further strengthening the relationship between the two creative fields.

Myto Cantilever Chair for Plank

Myto Cantilever Chair for Plank designed by Konstantin Grcic. There are some chairs that while look interesting in images, they just don’t grab you until you sit in them. Clearly the folks at Plank knew this when they set up their ICFF booth, and it was fascinating to watch everyone from little kids to grannies jump up on the platform, and sit, lean, bounce on these colorful plastic stackables. After a bit of watching, i couldn’t resist either, and they were REALLY quite nice to sit in! Not to mention light and easy to store and not too hard on the eyes! Comfort, poethic and progressive products for fine dining restaurants by Jens Fager.
"The sphere of fine dining" by Jens Fager, was presented at Milan fair, this April. But unfortunatelly the press kit was not ready when it was supposed to be!

Today I've finally receaved via mail images from the collection and some interesting informations about its success! The armrest chair has been bought of The Röhsska Museum of Fashion, Design and Decorative Arts in Gothenburg for their collection, a lot of press, several galleries around the world showed their interest to exhibit the products and an discussion with a couple of producers have started.

"The sphere of fine dining" was born when I designed the interior for Tommy Myllymäki´s (chef of the year in Sweden 2007) fine dining restaurant at Julita gård 150 km south of Stockholm. We made a dining set-up of bandsawed furniture. The idea is based on naive cartoon sketches translated into 3-dimesional useable products. The comfort of the chairs have been very important for us.
The technique is bandsaw-machine and the objects is made out of Swedish Pine.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Three characters disappear from large, solid white blocks, and their absence suddenly makes them important. The resulting emptiness is filled with the user's belongings and through this action the silhouettes' meaning shifts. The pieces suggest a continuous play between interaction and representation, where daily use generates a continuously changing story: a cat that reads Italo Calvino, a book filled with coins, a living room where birds come to eat the cake's crumbles…

This King West condo is vibrant and daring thanks to help from interior designer Monica Bussoli. A cream-coloured custom sofa gets a hit of hue with green accent pillows; an upholstered armchair can be sat on or read -- it's covered in a fun 1960s retro fabric with a comic-book motif.

"Яйцето" на Якобсен на 50 години

Световно известният стол EGG Chair на Arne Jacobsen тази година става а цели 50 години. За златната годишнина Fritz Hansen подготвят лимитирата серия от Яйцето, придружена с книга с много снимки на стола "преди и сега"
За първи път, в тази колекция ще се изработи стол с шоколадова лицева кожа на седалката и шоколадов велур на гърба. Като допулнение и логичен завършек към идеята, металната база ще бъде излята от бронз, ръчно полиран за финален блясък.

 Колекцията по случай 50 годишния юбилей на стола ще се състои от 999" яйца". Всяко едно от тях ще е придружено от релефна щампа с кратка история на легендарния стол.

Fredericia Furniture

Fredericia Furniture бяха удостоени с награда“Interior Innovation Award Cologne 2008” за този люлеещ се стол, дело на младия датския дизайнер Thomas Pedersen. Дървеният му корпус се предлага в цвят дъб и във вариант с африканско екзотично дърво - макасар.

4/4 е мулти-сегментна композиция с многобройни възможности. 4 броя сегменти образуват правилен кръг, който може да се използва както за сядане, така и за маса. Няколко сегметна 4/4 образуват криволичеща композиция, което може да се променя в зависиност от броя, цвета и посоката. Биха могли да се подреждат във височина и да се използват като библиотечен шкаф. Помещението, в което са подредени 4/4 сегменти винаги е различно. Предлагт се както в плътни, така и в полупрозрачни цветове в бяло, червено. оранжево и полупрозрачно лилаво.
